Our leadership

The shepherds of the vision.

Grace Ablaze Ministries International is led under a combined Episcopal and Presbyterian governance, with the Bishop as custodian of the vision and the Apostolic Board as its supreme decision-making body.

Bishop Ancelimo Magaya, founder of Grace Ablaze Ministries International

Founding Bishop

Bishop Ancelimo Magaya

Bishop Ancelimo Magaya is an ordained Bishop and founder of Grace Ablaze Ministries International (GAMI), after having served for more than ten years as a pastor and overseer of Hatfield Baptist Churches. He and his wife Daphne were released by church leaders to start a ministry that would resonate with the vision the Lord had laid on their hearts. After much earnest prayer and a multitude of godly counsel, GAMI was formed on the 18th of February 2007.

He is also the founder and Executive Director of Zimbabwe Divine Destiny, a Christian organisation whose vision is to have the audible prophetic voice and visible stature of the church transforming the socio-economic and political landscape of Zimbabwe through the proclamation of the gospel and the demonstration of the same.

Ministry & calling

A holistic vision for transformation.

Bishop Magaya has worked with the Zimbabwe National Pastors Conference — a network of over two thousand pastors — as a programme coordinator and module developer. He sits on various boards and has been part of numerous initiatives seeking to see Zimbabwe transformed into a modern democracy with godly values.

He is an award-winning Ambassador for Peace, and has been nominated as one of the leading inspired leaders by Tearfund, an international organisation working to empower church leaders actively involved in social justice work.

His passion for a holistic approach to Christian ministry is summed up in his personal and family mission: to be God's agent for the holistic transformation of persons, families, communities, institutions and nations, through building and strengthening sound relationships and the use of biblical truths.

He is admired by many for his passionate plea for a Christ-glorifying and Bible-centred socio-economic justice agenda, and his bold proclamation of this holistic gospel has inspired many.

Bishop Magaya is currently studying for his PhD in Intercultural Studies, focusing on development, at Asbury Theological Seminary in the United States of America. He is married to Daphne.
